The Raleigh Piano Teachers Association, founded in 1955, is a qualified body of professional music educators teaching music through the piano in an effort to foster the cultural and artistic aspirations of the surrounding community. The purpose of this association is to exchange ideas and to discuss teaching problems, to create a love and understanding of the music we teach, and to promote cooperative interest in our professional activities. The Raleigh Piano Teachers Association is affiliated with the North Carolina Music Teachers Association, founded in 1959, and the Music Teachers National Association, founded in 1876. May Shelia Paige Technique Clinic
The sixth and final Sheila Paige technique clinic of the season, “Innovations in Piano Technique”, will be held Saturday, May 5 from 2:30pm-4:30pm in room 121 Jones, Meredith College. Cost is $10 for students K-12 (may include one parent who is not a piano teacher) and $20 for all others. Students may bring difficult passages they are working on.
